Creativity in Motion Program

Workshop for schools and businesses

First of all it’s important to know that this is a full program according to a book (Oren Ashkenazi: Creativity in Motion) which can be adapted to your school as a teaching method for the children. On top of this I am leading workshops for adults.

The program puts an emphasis on original methods and challenging, interesting, educational methods. Each of the programs contribute to the expansion of knowledge, creativity and imagination of the children/adults, while arousing their curiosity, encouraging and driving them to cope with this new cultural world.

For businesses

The Creativity in Motion workshop is meant to challenge the lineary thinking. Either in a short workshop or in a full 2 day workshop you learn how to open your thinking channels to find new and unique solutions which didn't come to your mind before. You learn again to think in a child-like way and question everything you see. This “children like” state of mind helps you to RE-think what seemed to you logical before. On top of this the exercises teach you to work in a group.

For teachers

Creativity classes include the studies of dancing, movement and orientation in combination with the current materials you are teaching in your school. In the workshops you learn how to adapt creativity in all your lessons and with this to open the students' minds to new ways of thinking. I argue that by teaching children creativity,  they develop a positive attitude and openness to dance, movement and unique solution-finding.

Important aspects of the workshops are:

Orientation in the space – heights, directions, speed etc.
Structures in dancing – circle, couples, rows, semicircle, colons etc.
Basic steps in dancing – skips, jumps, walking, running, being aware of the body and using the various senses.
Feelings and their expression by dancing and moving.
Coordination.
“Mirror” – movement coordination by imitation between the students.
Various types of dances – background and main features.
Studying children’s dances and folk dances and more.

The program has proven itself over the years as capable of developing thinking and creativity while allowing children and adults to express themselves in various fields of arts.
