“The Magic Voices” Vocal Quintet
The vocal quintet "Carmel A-Cappella" is a five female singers' ensemble who specializes in a-cappella (unaccompanied) polyphonic music. The unique voices and the virtuousic contemporary arrangements make the ensemble a rare phenomenon in the Israeli music scene.
The group’s repertoire includes fresh vocal versions of well known classical-instrumental pieces, Israeli songs, folk songs in various languages, musicals, Jazz and Latin music.
The ensemble performed successfully in major music festivals in Israel and received first price in three categories in the international choral competition ‘Shirat Hayamim‘. In June 2011 they performed in Valladolid (Spain).
